Why I Keep Christian Coaching for Dads Affordable

Let's Talk About Money

I'd rather you hear this from me than wonder about it.

Coaching like The Carbonado Intensive™ is premium for a reason—a six-week program with a certified coach normally runs many times what I charge, and four-volume eBook sets like Black Diamond Dads™ typically sell for a good bit too. That's not gouging—it's what this work costs to build and deliver.

So when men see my books are free and the Intensive is a fraction of that, they ask: what's the catch?

There Isn't One

I'm retired—nowhere near finished, just no longer doing it for the paycheck—so this work doesn't have to pay my bills. After decades of part-time ministry, I'm finally all-in, and my priority is reach, not revenue. It's a business, because it has to be to function, but I run it as ministry first.

I've watched good men struggle alone for too long. I'd rather get these tools into the hands of every man who needs them than price them out of reach.

The Books Are Free

Completely free—to read, to download, and to keep. Four volumes, forty stories, and companion workbooks, yours to read on your own or study with other dads. I believe these belong in the hands of every father who wants to grow, no matter his season or situation. No paywall, no gate.

The Intensive Is Priced to Be Reached

It's premium coaching, priced so a working dad can reach it—not because it's worth less, but because I want it within reach. And I keep options open:

  • Scholarship spots for fathers where cost is a genuine barrier

  • Group Intensive rates for any men's group walking through it together

For the men here at home, I go all the way—free in-person gatherings for local dads in the Spring Hill, Tennessee area. See what's available for local dads →

Why Charge for Coaching at All?

Fair question—if it's ministry, why isn't it all free?

Because the sessions are the smallest part of the work. For every session, there are hours of work behind it you never see: prep, building the material, and follow-up with the men I'm walking alongside. Add the real costs of running it aboveboard—website, scheduling, payment processing, taxes—and a modest price is what keeps the doors open and the work sustainable.

The price isn't set for profit. It's set so I can keep doing this. I'm not in it for the income—I'm in it for the dads.

What I Ask Instead

If I'm not asking full market rate, here's what I am asking: show up. Do the work. Don't waste a free book or a low-cost seat.

The forge only works on the man who stays in it. That's the trade. I'll keep the cost within reach and the door open. You bring the effort.

No Man Gets Turned Away

If money is the hurdle, that's a conversation, not a closed door. No man ready to do the work gets turned away over price. Let's talk →
