Inside The Carbonado Intensive™

You look like you've got it together. Most days, you do. You show up. You provide. You carry the load.

Maybe you're carrying more than anyone sees—and sensing there's a deeper walk with God than the one you're living.

Here's what no one told you: the pressure didn't break you. Like a carbonado—the black diamond, the toughest stone on earth—you were forged under pressure most men never carry. It didn't shatter you. It made you tougher.

But a carbonado comes out of the ground rough and dark. The brilliance only comes out under the cut.

Six weeks. Four cuts. This is hard work—and it's meant to be.

WEEK 1 — Set the Foundation

Become a man who knows exactly where he stands—and where he's going.

Know your true coordinates: Get a straight, honest read on your faith without the performance scorecard—and identify exactly where you're ready to grow.
Survive a brutal Monday: Master a 4-line, 5-minute daily prayer framework built to survive chaos—the practical baseline most men were never taught.

📖 "If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" — 2 Corinthians 5:17

WEEK 2 — The Raw Edge → Purpose

Identity over performance. Become a father who leads from settled worth, not something he's still trying to prove.

Drop the scoreboard: Stop performing for an audience of many—the raises, the titles, the nods from people who will never be satisfied—and anchor your identity as an Accepted Son.
Lead with precision: Move through your day with the clarity of a confident "Yes" and a protective "No."
Silence the inner critic: Speak Scripture over the voice whispering that you aren't doing enough, before your feet even hit the floor.

📖 "The Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship." — Romans 8:15

WEEK 3 — The Facet → Brotherhood

Connection over isolation. Become a man who's known by other men—and stronger at home for it.

Build your inner circle: Move past surface-level sports texts and build a core circle of men who sharpen you and show up when the bottom drops out.
Protect your home base: Unlock the deep relational safety net that actively guards your marriage and your kids from the traps of isolation.
Stand in the gap: Learn to lift another dad by name in prayer—and experience the raw power of letting a brother do the same for you.

📖 "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." — Proverbs 27:17

WEEK 4 — The Forge → Peace

Steadfast peace over chaotic stress. Become the steady one—the peace your family leans on, not the pressure they absorb.

Temper the heat: Stop letting workplace chaos run you ragged. Convert the heat of demanding careers and deadlines into a core of integrated resilience.
Steady your household: Change the climate of your home so your family absorbs your baseline stability rather than your daily stress.
Leave the job in the driveway: Deploy a 5-second doorstep trigger that keeps your hardest workdays from seeping past your front door.

📖 "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you." — Isaiah 26:3

WEEK 5 — The Legacy → Joy

Generational impact over family performance. Become the father your kids picture when they picture joy.

Stop grading your kids: Refuse to let your worth as a dad ride on your children's behavioral performance or report cards.
Anchor your joy: Build a steady personal joy rooted deeply in God's presence that stays unshakeable when family dynamics get messy.
Break the silence: Master a 30-second bedtime prayer over your kids that breaks through the awkwardness—a voice they'll still hear in their heads when they're forty.

📖 "Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength." — Nehemiah 8:10

WEEK 6 — The Sending

Become the man who walks back into your home for good—not just a temporary six-week version of yourself.

Beat the drift: Build a resilient, permanent lifestyle rhythm with your brotherhood intact—a rhythm that survives a missed day instead of dying from it.
Recover fast: Lock in the single defining habit of coming back the morning after you fall short—the line that separates men who last from men who quit a couple weeks in.
Walk away sent: Leave the forge commissioned for the long haul—completely changed, not handed a certificate.

Who Leads It

Ron Maxson, Jr. — Husband, Dad, Mentor, Chaplain, Coach

35 years walking men through exactly this—out of isolation, comparison, and performance traps. An ordained minister, certified coach, and former law enforcement chaplain, Ron brings seasoned, real-world experience to coaching built around a working dad's life. Having lived those same exhausting cycles himself, he knows the weight you carry.

The Carbonado Intensive™ is built on his Black Diamond Legacy Refinement™—a proprietary process developed over decades of walking men from carrying it alone to leading from settled strength.

What Makes It Different

  • Built for a father's real week: Not a video course you'll abandon by week two, and not one more room full of strangers. Premium one-on-one coaching, scheduled around your life, with a man who's walked this road and knows the weight you're carrying.

  • Tangible skills: You walk away with a real, operational prayer skill every single week—built for sustained change that holds long after Week 6.

  • A blueprint for brotherhood: You learn how to build real connection where you live—with men who'll show up when life gets heavy.

The forge brings the heat. The cuts bring the brilliance. You bring the willingness to stay in it.

Six weeks. Four cuts. A father refined.

How We Meet

Coaching fits your life—not the other way around. Two ways to walk it:

  • The Private Intensive is built entirely around you—your family, your challenges, your calling. Six sessions scheduled to fit your life. In person around Columbia, Spring Hill, Franklin, and Brentwood; hybrid across the Nashville metro area; by phone nationwide.

  • The Group Intensive brings the six weeks to the men you already meet with. I walk your group through all four cuts together, in person, groups of twelve or fewer. Serving the Nashville–Franklin–Columbia area.

Wherever you are, there's a way in.

Ron Maxson, Jr.

Founder of The Dads Prayer Coach™ | Author of the Black Diamond Dads™ series

I never planned to end up here, but I’ve learned that’s exactly how God works.

An ordained minister and certified coach, I’ve spent 35 years in the trenches mentoring men and the ministries that serve them. My perspective was forged through two decades of bi-vocational pastoral ministry, years as a law enforcement chaplain, and a decade leading community prayer ministries. I have seen men at their highest pressure points, and I know what it takes to endure.

At the heart of my work is the Black Diamond Legacy Refinement™—a proprietary, time-tested process that forges purpose, brotherhood, peace, and joy in a father under pressure.

A husband of thirty-plus years, a father, and a grandfather, I recently retired to Spring Hill, Tennessee. It was here that I felt God's unmistakable call to give this next chapter entirely to walking alongside dads.

The credential that matters most? I’ve lived every bit of the pressure I walk men through.
