Invite Ron Maxson, Jr. to Speak to Dads, Wives, and Couples

Straight truth. No performance. If you're looking for a speaker who will be real with your people, you're in the right place.

Grab your coffee. This is what happens when I speak, and what your group can expect if you invite me.

What Happens When a Room Full of Men Gets Honest

There's a moment in almost every room.

I've stood in front of crowds of thousands and sat in a prayer room of ten. The size changes. The moment doesn't.

It comes when the jokes settle down and the arms uncross. Somebody stops saying "I'm fine." A man who has carried it alone for years finally lets the room know he's tired.

Most dads in that room aren't weak. They're worn.

What Pressure Does

The carbonado is the toughest diamond on earth. It wasn't made in comfort. It was formed under heat and pressure.

A man is no different. Pressure doesn't break what God built to last. It reveals it, and its true strength is only revealed under the cut.

Take This With You, Even If You Never Book Me

  • Tired isn't failing. Pressure is part of how God forms a man.

  • Strength isn't silence. The "I'm fine" dad is usually carrying the most.

  • Prayer isn't passive. It's where a man steadies his marriage, shapes his kids, and builds a legacy that outlives him.

Three Rooms, One Message

I build every talk for the room in front of me. Here's how it works.

  • For Men: Retreats, breakfasts, father-son events, and prayer gatherings. In "Refined by Pressure," I send a father home with a place to start on the road to becoming a Servant-Leader Dad.

  • For Women: Women's and moms' gatherings. You can feel something's off with him and can't name it. In "The Weight He Carries," I show what he may be carrying, and how to pray for him and stand with him. Not to fix him. To love him well.

  • For Couples and Mixed Groups: Marriage events, church-wide gatherings, and leadership summits. I bring both talks together, shaped to who's in the room.

Not My First Rodeo

Inviting a speaker means trusting someone with your people. I take that seriously. Here's what stands behind me:

  • Licensed and ordained through the local church

  • 20 years in bi-vocational pastoral ministry

  • 6 years as a law enforcement chaplain, walking with people through raw crisis

  • 10 years leading prayer ministries

  • 12 years as a certified coach

  • 35+ years bringing truth and energy to every size of room, including the annual Fourth of July celebration on the National Mall in Washington, DC

I don't just motivate. I equip.

Founder of The Dads Prayer Coach™ | Author of the Black Diamond Dads™ series

I never planned to end up here, but I’ve learned that’s exactly how God works.

An ordained minister and certified coach, I’ve spent 35 years in the trenches mentoring men and the ministries that serve them. My perspective was forged through two decades of bi-vocational pastoral ministry, years as a law enforcement chaplain, and a decade leading community prayer ministries. I have seen men at their highest pressure points, and I know what it takes to endure.

At the heart of my work is the Black Diamond Legacy Refinement™—a proprietary, time-tested process that forges purpose, brotherhood, peace, and joy in a father under pressure.

A husband of thirty-plus years, a father, and a grandfather, I recently retired to Spring Hill, Tennessee. It was here that I felt God's unmistakable call to give this next chapter entirely to walking alongside dads.

The credential that matters most? I’ve lived every bit of the pressure I walk men through.
